Designed with the location and the climate of the area in mind, a critical element was to make use of the northerly aspect of the block with full-height commercial windows and doors to maximise the winter sun and to flood the entire house with natural light.

Hit-and-miss brickwork has been designed into the exterior to capture the sea breeze and air flow, while burnished concrete floors throughout increase the thermal mass of the sun entering from the north.

Especially designed to the client’s needs, a functional layout includes minimal hallways and corridors, creating a flow through the home’s two-bed, one-studio, two-living and two-bathroom design.
